Naturopathic nutritional therapy for abundant health and happiness

Modern naturopathic nutritional therapy is natural, personalised medicine, which takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

If you want to be treated like a whole person, with real feelings and real, persistent health concerns, and you want to understand why you feel this way and what you can do to feel better than ever then naturopathic medicine is for you.

Consultations are available in Westbury Park, Bristol, or via Skype.

If you have symptoms of concern, don't ignore them: your body is trying to tell you something important. Together we can work out what your symptoms mean and find natural solutions for whatever is ailing you.

What can you expect from Naturopathic nutritional therapy?

A Naturopathic nutrition consultation is an opportunity to examine all aspects of your health and wellness, past and present, and try and discover which aspects of your diet, lifestyle and/or environment might be contributing to any ill health or unhappiness and find ways of improving them for you.

Clinical nutrition and naturopathy is personalised, natural medicine. You are unique and your body's needs for food and nutrients are unique and the consultation process is a chance to put together a personal plan that addresses your health needs specifically.

As a naturopathic nutrition practitioner, I assess and treat the whole person in front of me rather than just isolated symptoms, to learn how and why that person's health is compromised - taking into consideration their diet, lifestyle, environment and emotional wellbeing - to determine which systems are out of balance and what they need in order to regain abundant health and happiness.

Instead of trying to suppress symptoms with pills, naturopathic practitioners always ask WHY? Why is your head aching all the time? Why do you feel so tired? Why have you struggled to lose weight in recent years? Why are you depressed? Getting to the root cause of illness and correcting the underlying imbalances is the only way to achieve true healing.

I will ask you about all aspects of your medical history as well as how you feel now, and then introduce my recommendations which may include foods to try, recipes, nutritional or herbals supplements, essential or functional lab testing to get some more detailed information about your health.

Through years of research and practical application I have created a programme of treatment which draws from the work of mostly plant-based health advocates, including: Anthony William (aka the Medical Medium), Dr Michael Greger, Dr Neal Barnard, and learnings from "The Blue Zones" - observations of the healthiest people on the planet.

The first session typically lasts 90 minutes, with subsequent appointments lasting 45-60 minutes.

How many sessions will you need?

There really is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to naturopathic medicine and it depends on how quickly we uncover all the aspects contributing to your ill health. Some people experience vast changes in as little as two weeks, whereas others may not experience significant changes for several months.

Nutritional therapy is not a quick fix. Healing and the diet and lifestyle changes required to achieve it take some time. As such, I choose to work with people ready to partner with me over some months to help them bring about transformations that will last a lifetime.
